Find the FIBC volume you need, estimate what a bag can hold, and check whether your desired material weight fits the bag’s rated load.
Getting started
How to use this calculator
Trying to figure out what size bulk bag you need? Enter a few numbers below and we will estimate whether your material will fit.
1. Tell us what you're putting in the bag
Enter how many pounds you want in each bag. Then enter how heavy your material is for its size (called bulk density). If you don't know that number, ask your material supplier.
2. Enter the bag size
Type the inside length, width, and height in inches. Keep the fill setting at 90% as a starting estimate, and enter the bag's rated weight limit from its label or specification sheet.
3. Read your results
The numbers update as you type. We'll show how much material may fit and whether the weight is within the limit you entered. If it doesn't fit, try a larger bag or ask ShopTough for help.
Example: You want to pack 2,000 pounds of material that weighs 60 pounds per cubic foot. It needs about 33.3 cubic feet of space. The sample numbers below are for demonstration, not a recommended bag specification.
